Pine Grove Apartments FAQ – Columbus, OH

Pine Grove has studios (about 288 sq ft), one-bedrooms (about 576 sq ft, some with in-unit laundry hookups) and two-bedrooms (about 864 sq ft, with one or two baths). All 80 homes are single-story.

With the current special the deposit is $299 (November Special! Move in by November 15th with just a $299 security deposit, get your first month's rent FREE or prorated rent WAIVED, pay NO application fees, and a 13-month lease is required to qualify..) It is due when you sign the lease.

Application fee: $75 per applicant (waived under the current special). Lease origination (admin hold) fee: $150, non-refundable, after approval. Parking permit: $25/month. Pet deposit: $350 non-refundable per pet.

Residents pay water, sewer and electric. You will need to put electric service in your name before move-in.

Pick a unit under Available Now and select Apply Now, or apply at smartland.appfolio.com. The application includes a credit check, and Smartland may also review rental, income and background history. A low score alone does not automatically disqualify you.

Leases are offered for 12, 18 or 24 months. The minimum is 12 months. The current move-in special requires a 13-month lease.

CMHA / Section 8 vouchers are not accepted at this time.

Yes. Provide proof of a renters insurance policy before move-in. You can buy one from any provider.

Rent is due on the 1st; a late fee may apply after the 4th. Pay online through the Smartland resident portal (bank account, debit or credit card) or in cash at participating retail locations.

Yes. Every home at Pine Grove is on one level with no interior stairs, and each has its own fenced back yard.

New cabinets, countertops and tile backsplash, a stainless-steel refrigerator and sink, a built-in flat cooktop, a fully updated bathroom with new tile, vinyl plank flooring, new lighting and mirrored sliding closet doors. USB outlets and wall air conditioning are in select homes.

Yes. There is an on-site laundry room, and some one-bedroom homes have their own laundry room with washer and dryer hookups.

Yes. Pine Grove has an off-street parking lot. A parking permit is $25/month.

Cats and small dogs are welcome with a $350 non-refundable pet deposit per pet. Some breed and size limits apply, so check with leasing before you apply.

Residents 55 and older are welcome, and the single-story, no-stairs layout suits many older renters. Ask leasing about the current age and eligibility policy.

Furniture may be available for an additional fee in some homes. Ask leasing.

Smartland offers smart-home upgrades in select homes, such as a smart thermostat, smart TV and streaming, and smart lighting. Ask leasing which homes include them.

Downtown Columbus (Ohio Statehouse) is 10 miles (about 18 minutes by car) via I-70.

John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH) is 9.5 miles (about 17 minutes by car). Rickenbacker International Airport is 11.3 miles (about 23 minutes by car).

The closest public campuses are Walnut Ridge High School (1.4 miles (about 4 minutes by car)), Shady Lane Elementary (1.7 miles (about 4 minutes by car)) and Sherwood Middle School (1.8 miles (about 5 minutes by car)). School assignment depends on the address, so confirm with Columbus City Schools’ school locator.

Mount Carmel East Hospital on E Broad St is 4.3 miles (about 9 minutes by car).

Kroger on S Hamilton Rd is 2.9 miles (about 7 minutes by car), ALDI on E Main St is 3.7 miles (about 9 minutes by car) and Walmart Supercenter on E Main St is 4.1 miles (about 11 minutes by car).
